Nothing But Sunshine releases a new single "The Dream That Fucks You Up"

Gearing up for the release of their debut album, Helsinki-based Nothing But Sunshine have just released The Dream That Fucks You Up, a new single from their upcoming album.

Nothing But Sunshine is a synth-rock band with roots in Helsinki and Toronto – and members from Finnish alternative groups such as Murmansk.

“The Dream That Fucks You Up tells about the recurring liminal state between dreams and the waking world – that place where photographs and other images connect with your subconscious, with the stories you’ve heard, and with already obscured memories of the past,” the vocalist-guitarist Jaakko Suni describes.

The Dream That Fucks You Up foreshadows the upcoming 2020 release of the band’s debut album. Although Nothing But Sunshine is a fairly new band, its releases so far have led to touring in several countries and playing most of its shows outside Finland. In addition to finishing the upcoming album, during the last year the band has performed in Russia, the Baltic countries, and most recently in India at the Saarang World Festival in January 2020. The release of The Dream That Fucks You Up has been preceded by the Parade and Colour In A Nightmare singles and the White Lies EP.

The Dream That Fucks You Up was mixed by Mikko Gordon, known for his work with Thom Yorke, Gaz Coombes, Pete Townshend, and numerous other artists. The single is published by Secret Entertainment.
